Operating out of El Astillero Bay, on the beautiful southern pacific coast of Nicaragua, Nicaragua Sport Fishing is your chance to experience a true fishing frontier. Fishing year round for Sailfish, Wahoo, Tuna, Dolphin, Roosterfish, and Snapper, the angling opportunities abound in the clear blue waters surrounding this tranquil bay. Centrally located in Popoyo, there are accommodations for any budget as well as lots of activities for the whole family.

Our captains have been charter fishing for over 10 years and have traveled all over Central America and now have planted roots in Popoyo, Nicaragua. Passionate about pushing the limits of light tackle and pursuing trophy gamefish, we are very excited to be one of only a few exploring the potential of this new fishery. With many years of experience with anglers of all skill levels, we can help ordinary anglers become extraordinary fishermen.

Due to its remote location, the waters outside of Astillero Bay are best accessed by a panga. A tough and seaworthy fiberglass hull, these pangas can be easily hauled up the beach. Our boat, is a traditional panga that has been rigged for sport fishing and has a hard top providing plenty of shade. It is powered by a 75 hp Yamaha outboard and cruises comfortably at 15 knots. Outfitted with VHF Radio and GPS it is ready to get you to and from the fishing grounds in style. A complete set of Shimano TLD reels and of course plenty of casting and bottom fishing gear is provided.
